Your privacy when using AFL Fixture
This policy describes information handled by the independent AFL Fixture website when you browse fixtures, use its tools or send a message. It is separate from the AFL’s own privacy policy and the policies of broadcasters, clubs and ticket sellers.
You can browse the public fixture without creating an account. The contact form asks for a message and category; a reply email is optional. Please do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents or private information about another person.
Information in a contact or correction message
When you submit the form, we store the category, related page address, message, any reply email you supply, the submission time and whether the enquiry has been marked resolved. These details help the site administrator investigate corrections, answer enquiries and handle privacy requests.
If you email us directly, your address and message are also handled by the mailbox service to receive and respond to your enquiry. Do not include sensitive documents. Your message is not displayed on the public website. Supplying an email lets the administrator contact you if needed; leaving it blank means we cannot reply by email. Submission does not sign you up to a mailing list, and the form does not automatically send an email receipt.
Protecting the form from spam
The service temporarily counts submissions using the connection’s internet address to limit repeated messages. That counter expires after an hour. This is separate from the saved message and is not a record of the clubs you follow.
How information is stored and accessed
Messages are stored with the website’s records and can be read through its restricted administration area. They are used for handling the enquiry and its correction history. The contact form does not forward them automatically to an outside email service.
Messages currently have no automatic expiry date. Marking an enquiry resolved does not delete it. You can request removal through the process below; deleting browser cookies alone will not remove these records.
Delivering a web page or calendar feed involves sending connection information, such as an internet address and the requested page, to the infrastructure serving this website. Browser preferences, saved messages and those connection requests are different kinds of information. This policy does not promise that information is stored only in Australia.
Calendar subscriptions and other websites
Your calendar app
A calendar subscription gives your calendar provider a feed address to check for fixture changes. The address can identify your selected clubs and can be opened by anyone you share it with; it is not a private account link. AFL Fixture does not receive permission to read your other calendar events.
To stop future calendar updates, remove the subscription in your calendar app. Imported ICS events and downloaded files remain on your device until you remove them.
Broadcaster, ticketing and club links
Following a link opens another provider’s website, where its own privacy policy applies. Accounts, purchases and subscriptions you arrange with that provider are handled by that provider.
Access, correction, deletion and privacy concerns
Use Contact & corrections and choose Privacy request, or email [email protected]. Say whether you want to see, correct or remove a message, or raise a concern about its handling. Include its approximate submission date and enough detail to identify it, plus a reply email if you want a response.
The site administrator reviews these requests. We may need to confirm that the message belongs to you before sharing or changing it. Do not upload identity documents or include unnecessary sensitive information. There is no automatic deletion or immediate reply when you submit the form.
